Crip - ADOPTED

Crip is a sweet boy who we think was once someone's cat.  He gets along well with others cats but is timid when it comes to people.  He is handleable but definitely shy, probably due to an abusive past.

Crip's story is a sad and angering one.  When I first saw him limping across the street I thought he'd been hit by a car.  However, a few days later I noticed what is unmistakeably a BB pellet under his skin.  Someone shot poor little Crip.

Crip is so named because he wasn't walking normally when I found him, but he seems to be 99% better and shouldn't have lasting damage. He does still have a BB pellet under his skin -- it would do him more harm to remove it than to leave it be.

I've caught Crip playing with Andy, Bella and Cissy.  He is a kitten at heart, just inhibited by (totally justified) fearfulness of humans.  Crip likes to be pet but sometimes is hard to get hold of.  He is not comfortable being held.

Crip wants to live in a nice home where he is loved and cherished.  He needs plenty of TLC with a patient person or quiet family.  His street days are over.

We have decided that Crip would be best suited with his friends Andy and Bella in a barn home.
